CNN names San Francisco, San Diego and Bend in €œ8 Best Beer Towns in America€
About 4 year(s) ago by Greystone Hotels
CNN named the top 8 beer towns in the USA and with amazing hotels from the Greystone Hotels collection, in 3 of the cities listed, there is no reason for you to not come visit one (or more!) of these beer loving destinations.
San Francisco was named number two on the prestigious list. With some of the top San Francisco breweries all located within a couple of miles of our three San Francisco properties: Hotel Griffon (http://www.hotelgriffon.com) , King George Hotel (http://www.kinggeorge.com) and Inn at Union Square (http://www.unionsquare.com/), your beer options are limitless when you stay with us! Whether it's going on a tour of infamous Anchor Steam Brewery, stopping by the 21st Amendment on the way to a San Francisco Giants game or attending one of the many annual beer and brew festivals the city holds, there is truly something for every beer fanatic throughout the city of San Francisco.
San Diego secures a top spot at number three on the list. San Diego County is home to thirty plus breweries and its own IPA category. Last year's host to the 2012 World Beer Cup, and breweries named some of the€œAll-Time Breweries on the Planet€ by BeerAdvocate magazine, San Diego is the place to be for beer connoisseurs of all kinds. We are happy to have two properties within close proximity to some of the best breweries in San Diego: Best Western Seven Seas (http://www.bw7seas.com) and The Bristol Hotel San Diego (http://www.thebristolsandiego.com) .
Seventh place for Best Beer Towns in America goes to Bend, Oregon. To most people, Bend making the list for top beer towns in America might come as a surprise, but not for us here at Greystone Hotels. With two properties in Bend, TownePlace Suites and Fairfield Inn & Suites (http://www.bendsuites.com), both properties are in close proximity to some of the best breweries Oregon has to offer such as Deschutes, Silver Moon and Cascade Lakes. On your next visit to Bend make sure to stop by the Bend Ale Trail, the largest beer trail in the west.
