Caitlin Foster l Phosphorous: New Drawings through September 14th 2019
Ms Foster creates meticulous, controlled drawings using micron pens and colored pencils to capture the detailed chaos of pattern in natural forms. Influenced by the landscape of California and natural history research, she also incorporates inevitable hints of the man-made, with influences including film and textiles.
Caitlin Foster received her degree in art from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts/Tufts University in Boston. She moved to San Francisco in 2007 but the East coast drew her back and she moved to Brooklyn, New York in 2010.
Her work has been included in group exhibitions in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Boston, Madrid, Spain and Agios Ionnis, Greece. Later this year, she will have her first exhibition in Tokyo, Japan. This is her second solo show with the gallery.
