Greystone Hotels Names Trisha Sammons Director of Sales at The Empress Hotel

Trisha Sammons SAN FRANCISCO, CA. December 16, 2015 - Eric Horodas, President of Greystone Hotels (, announces the newest addition to the Greystone team as Trisha Sammons begins her tenure as Director of Sales at The Empress Hotel (La Jolla, CA), a 73-room boutique Greystone property ( that recently underwent a $1.9 million renovation.

With nearly 20 years of 4 and 5-star boutique hotel experience, Trisha joins the Greystone family after her most recent stint as Director of Hotel Sales for La Casa del Zorro, a 4 Diamond boutique hotel in Borrego Springs, CA. Prior to that she served as Regional Director of Sales for Pacifica Host Hotels' La Valencia Hotel, and the Catalina Canyon Resort.

As a Native San Diegan, Sammons began her hospitality career as an Administrative Assistant to the Sales Team at the Sheraton Harbor Island, working her way up to Corporate and Leisure Sales Manager. The next two decades saw Sammons serving as a, "Director" for various San Diego hotel properties.
